Midfielder Peter Vincenti is set to make his debut for Macclesfield in Saturday’s Sky Bet League Two game against Grimsby.
Macclesfield boss Mark Yates managed to secure the services of the 32-year-old on transfer deadline day following his release by Coventry and he is poised to go straight into the Silkmen’s team against the Mariners.
With the exception of Elliott Durrell, who continues to recover from a groin injury, Yates has a fully-fit squad to choose from going into the first league game at Moss Rose for six years.

While Yates will be looking to build on a spirited opening performance at Swindon, Grimsby manager Michael Jolley needs to lift his side following their disappointing 4-1 home defeat by Forest Green. But the Mariners will be without midfielder Elliott Whitehouse and striker Harry Cardwell.
Whitehouse is expected to miss the majority of the season with a knee injury while Cardwell has yet to return to training after suffering a foot injury in pre-season training. History points to a draw with seven of the clubs’ previous 12 meetings all finishing in stalemate.
There have been seven draws between Macclesfield and Grimsby in the last 11 matches between them in the Football League (two wins each).
Macclesfield have only lost to Grimsby once in their six home meetings in League Two (W3 D2), a 1-2 defeat in February 2002.
Macclesfield’s defeat to Swindon in their opening game extended their winless run in the Football League to 24 games (D7 L17). Their last Football League victory was in December 2011 (2-1 vs Port Vale).
Grimsby have won their last two away league games. They last won three in a row on the road back in April 2010.
Mitch Rose has scored four goals in his last six games for Grimsby.
