Colchester boss John McGreal has no fresh injury worries for the Sky Bet League Two match against Port Vale.
Wing-back Kane Vincent-Young signed a new contract on Monday, and will come into the squad. Goalkeeper Dillon Barnes, 22, looks set to make only his second home league appearance after impressing in the goalless draw against Notts County on the opening day.
