Mass opioid overdose leaves one lifeless, eight hospitalised in the US

One man is dead and 12 others remain in hospital after a mass overdose in California on Saturday morning local time. The group is believed to have ingested fentanyl, an opioid often mixed with heroin or cocaine. Two police officers were also taken to hospital after they reported feeling unwell at the scene.
