A Mandurah man has been bashed with his own golf clubs by two thugs in a terrifying home invasion last night.
Police said 57-year-old victim Chris Holland returned home from a walk about 7.30pm last night, to find one of the men in his bedroom, wielding a golf club.
Mr Holland said the man then began shouting at him and swinging the club, before he spotted the second intruder.
The second thug then began hitting him with another club.
“He laid it into me as well,’ the Silver Sands resident told 7 News Perth.
“So… then the other guy yelled out ‘let’s get the hell out of here’.
“By that stage I hit the deck and passed out for half a second or a couple of seconds and then came back and they were just going down the hall and I realised what they were doing so I chased them.”
Mr Holland was taken to Peel Health Campus where he was treated and discharged late last night.
He said a phone, a watch and some headphones were taken in the robbery as well as a set of keys.
The two men are described as being between 18 and 25 years old, with slim builds, both wearing black hoodies.
One is 170-180 centimetres tall and clean shaven, the other is described as fair-skinned.
