Canadian Police are hunting a daring exhibitionist who leapt naked into a shark tank at a popular aquarium in Toronto.
Stunned families watched on at Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada, as the man took off his close and backflipped into the enclosure before doing a runner.
Now local police have asked the public to help identify the man, since dubbed the ‘fish tank flasher’, saying they want to lay charges against him.
Speaking about the bizarre stunt one aquarium goer said the man repeatedly jumped back in to the tank despite security’s best efforts to throw him out of the venue.
“Security was saying ‘get out! get out! get out!’” Witness Karl told 7 News.
“But once he finally got pulled out of the water, he stood right in front of security and did a full back flip right back into the water.”
Although it is unknown why the man carried out the odd crime, other witnesses speculated that he may have had ‘a drink or two’ beforehand.
Employee at the centre, Peter Doyle added that while there were measures in place to stop visitors getting up close with the animals, there was little staff could do on this occasion.
“There’s really not much we can do with someone who really wants to climb over,” he said
Police say they’ve been unable to find him but Toronto Police officer Jenifferjit Sidhu confirmed that he will face the full force of the law when found.
“Once he is identified, he is wanted for a mischief and interfere with property investigation.”
