A man has been charged with murder after a dead body was found in a caravan in a coastal town in rural South Australia.
South Australia Police and other emergency services were called to a property at Port Neill, about 580km from Adelaide, to check on the welfare of a resident about 4.40pm Saturday.
They found the 66-year-old man dead inside a caravan.
Following police investigations overnight, a local 28-year-old man was arrested.
He has since been charged with murder.
He has been refused bail and will appear in the Port Lincoln Magistrates Court next week.
The two men were known to each other, and police have said they do not believe this was a random incident.
Major Crime and Forensic Investigators will examine the scene later today to help with the investigation.
