Lotto: Perth punter wins $2.1 million in Christmas Day draw

Christmas has come and gone but there is a lotto player in Perth who is yet to accept a major, life-changing gift from Santa.

A West Aussie pocketed a seriously cool $2.1 million division one prize in Saturday’s draw, continuing the State’s seriously hot lotto streak.

However they are still yet to come forward to claim their windfall.

The winning ticket was sold at the Canning Bridge Newsagency in Applecross in the lead up to the Decemeber 25 draw.

Newsagency owner Claude Kagi said he could not wait to celebrate with the winning punter.

“This has to be the best Christmas present you could have asked for,” he said.

“I hope we can celebrate with the winner.

“I’ve been telling everyone who comes in we’ve sold a Division One ticket, it could be yours.”

In 2021 alone, WA’s 71 division one winners have shared in $206 million worth of prize money.

There are two major draws to round out the year – Thursday Powerball ($30m) and Friday night’s New Year’s Eve Megadraw ($40m).
