The West Coast Eagles last won an Australian Rules Football premiership in 2006, edging out the Sydney Swans by one point in a nail-biter.

This year the Eagles head back to the Melbourne Cricket Ground in their best form since then to try and take their fourth cup.

Today we delve into the West Australian archives to look back at that epic win against Sydney 12 years ago.
