Richard Goyder AO has quickly become one of Australia’s most influential company directors.

Since stepping down as chief executive of Wesfarmers after 12 transformative years that included the $18 billion takeover of Coles he has become chairman of the AFL, Woodside Petroleum and WA’s very own Telethon.

He has also just taken the helm of Qantas. For good measure, he also chairs the WA Symphony Orchestra and national diabetes research group JDRF Australia.

On the first anniversary of his retirement from the WA conglomerate, join Richard for breakfast as he talks about life after Wesfarmers, the fall-out for directors from the financial services royal commission, politics, philanthropy and AFL rule changes.
