Lancelin sand dunes crash: Boy injured in quad bike crash, RAC rescue chopper deployed

The RAC rescue chopper has been sent to an unfolding emergency after a boy crashed his quad bike in the State’s north on Friday morning.

The Department of Fire and Emergency Services said the chopper was deployed to the popular Lancelin sand dunes — about an hour and a half out of Perth — just after 11am.

St John WA confirmed they were responding to the quad bike crash, saying it involved a male teenager with reportedly non-life-threatening injuries.

The chopper is yet to reach the injured boy, but it is believed SJA is on the scene.

More to come.
