Josh McDaniels changes mind and won’t become Indianapolis Colts’ head coach – The Denver Post

Maybe Josh McDaniels isn’t headed to Indianapolis after all.

Less than 10 hours after the Indianapolis Colts announced that McDaniels had agreed to terms to become their new head coach, the New England Patriots’ offensive coordinator had a change of heart Tuesday afternoon, according to ESPN.

Patriots owner Robert Kraft “ultimately wound up sweetening” McDaniels’ contract, according to ESPN.

McDaniels has been New England’s offensive coordinator from 2006-08 and from 2012-17. In between, he had a stint as the Denver Broncos’ head coach from 2009-10, finishing with a record of 11-17.

This is a developing story.
