‘Joker’ faces court after allegedly spray painting Perth CBD CCTV camera

A man accused of spray painting a City of Perth CCTV camera dressed as the Joker will face court today.

Police officers spotted the 38-year-old man walking through the Perth Train Station on Wellington Street dressed as the popular comic book villain at about 9:35am on Monday.

It is alleged the Balga man was carrying a container with more than 12 cans of spray paint, which he used to deface the external cover of a city of Perth CCTV camera.

He was charged with criminal damage, obstructing public officers and failing to give police personal details and will appear in the Perth Magistrate’s Court today.
