Joe Clarke and Tom Kohler-Cadmore will not travel with the England Lions squad for their tour to India.

The pair, due to leave with the team on Saturday, were involved in the Alex Hepburn rape case which concluded on Friday with the jury failing to reach a verdict.

Neither Clarke nor Kohler-Cadmore were accused of any wrongdoing but the pair were in a WhatsApp group which was used as evidence in the case, with Hepburn facing the prospect of a retrial.

Hepburn was bailed and a provisional retrial date was listed for April 8.

England Lions are due to face India A in a five-match 50-over series beginning in Thiruvananthapuram on January 23, before two unofficial ‘Tests’ against the same opposition in early February.
