Is Boho Blonde Perth’s most Instagram-worthy hair salon?

A Perth hairdresser has splashed $120,000 to create what could be the city’s most Instagrammable hair salon.

Kim Haberley stylist forked out the hefty sum for the fit-out of her Balcatta studio, Boho Blonde, to create a backdrop out of a selfie-taker’s wildest dream.

There is a neon staircase, trendy white boucle lounges and the piece de resistance — a pink-tiled bathroom that would make Barbie swoon.

Emerging interior designer Lizzie Boyle envisioned the aesthetic for the 300sqm salon, which is fully customised down to the tiny details.

It may seem a hefty sum to splash on a new premises, but Haberley says the investment in the interior was worth it to create a salon that would make waves on social media.

“It is all about Instagram,” she says.

“Girls want to be at the new hip place. Once someone takes a cool picture and it starts trending, everyone wants a piece of it.

“I wanted to create something that was so ‘gram-worthy that it would go viral.

“There’s nothing like this in Perth.”

Before it officially opened last month, Boho Blonde already had a waitlist of close to 300 clients.

And that number is steadily growing, thanks to the women who have already snapped selfies in the vibrant bathroom.

“The momentum is huge already,” Haberley says.

“Already I am seeing people sneaking off to the bathroom to take their shot. When they post it, it’s like free advertising for us as it goes all around Perth.”

Haberley is confident her spend on the space is already paying off.

“For me it was never a risk because I wasn’t getting a loan,” she says.

“The fact was I had saved it and had the money to invest in my business to grow it. I easily could have wasted $100,000 on clothes or other things.”
