Interstate 70 and U.S. 36 are closed in both directions because of the current snowstorm, CDOT confirms.
As of 3:02 p.m., I-70 westbound and eastbound is closed from Limon to Burlington because of multiple crashes with no sign of reopening. CDOT also warns of icy roads, high winds, blowing and drifting snow.
“We were anticipating that because the brunt of the storm was moving north,” said Tamara Rollison, CDOT communications manager. U.S. 36 westbound and eastbound is closed in eastern Colorado, from Last Chance to Idalia because of adverse conditions, with no sign of reopening.
