Hysteria hits Paris streets as protestors rally to topple Macron

Five thousand police officers have clashed with thousands of protestors who swarmed the streets of Paris for a rally against higher fuel taxes and the cost of living. The ‘yellow vests’ are calling on President Emmanuel Macron to resign, as his popularity plunges to barely 20 per cent. French riot police fired tear gas, stun grenades and water cannons at the protestors and arresting at least 24 people. Just last week protestors converged on the Champs Elysees and clashed with police where they erected barriers on the famous boulevard.
