No news on the new budget McDreamy but who needs that when Colby and Willow make up a fake tip to send Angelo out of town and Colby takes his affair with Taylor to the next level — hotel level.
The show picks back up with Bella being taken to the police station after Irene and her loose lips accidentally let slip that Bella was actually gallivanting around the Blue Mountains and blew her cover about being so distraught that she couldn’t possibly make a statement.
Nikau alerts Colby about the unfolding events and naturally, he’s freaking out.
Rosetta isn’t impressed that Bella went on a romantic holiday with Nikau but she maintains that she was in shock and needed to clear her head of all the stress.
He’s not convinced.
“There’s just one thing I can’t stop thinking about, what was going through your father’s head that day?,” Angelo says to Bella.
Bella starts tearing up and stares Angelo right in the eyes and says that her dad shot her friend and murdered her mum.
While this is going on Colby gets down to the station to give Angelo a piece of his mind even though Angelo’s questioning was pretty soft.
“You seem like a man that would do anything for a case,” Colby says to Angelo.
“One of you is protecting the other, I just can’t figure out who is protecting who,” Angelo replies.
“You two are hiding something.”
Colby continues to freak out but under the cunning guidance of Willow they give Angelo “something else to focus on.”
I know I’ve said this before, but if you’re a murderer or an accessory to murder, you really shouldn’t talk about it at all, let alone with the door open because someone — probably Ziggy or even worse Angelo — is going to find out.
The phone rings at the station and the words “Ross Nixon”, “butting heads” and “bikies” excite Angelo quite unlike anything else.
Irene has also realised that her blabber mouth got the better of her and she’s “going to give Angelo a piece of her mind” and calls him “underhanded and deceitful” to his face.
I did not watch Home and Away 10 years ago so it would be great if the producers would delve into this so called friendship between them, but for now, Irene’s cutting words hardly make him flinch because he receives a phone call.
It’s cop related and amazingly, it corroborates with the fake anonymous tip off.
Angelo’s going out of town for a few days to investigate the made up lead and leaves his wife without a second thought.
Colby is sinking another one of those tiny beers at Salt when Taylor joins him feeling a little sorry for herself.
They reach for each other’s hand and Willow catches them and pleads with Colby to end things with Angelo’s wife for obvious reasons.
“I broke the law for you Colby,” Willow says in the kitchen where any number of people could overhear.
But Colby has other ideas since Angelo has left Taylor to her own devices.
“Nothing’s going to happen between us…unless you want it to,” Colby says to Taylor.
Then next thing we’re in some kind of hotel hallway, it’s definitely not the motel, so my first thought is where did this hotel come from because all the other characters stay in the motel or a van.
But then Taylor knocks on a door and who should open it but Colby.
It’s a classic Home and Away cliff hanger we’ll have to wait to see if they follow through and if Taylor really is an undercover cop, she’s really going for it.
Also John is recovering fast and frankly he’s rather bored and is “chewing off” Irene and Alf’s collective ears.
