A Geraldton man has pleaded guilty to manufacturing the psychedelic drug DMT and will remain on bail.
Gregory John Stewart appeared in Geraldton Magistrates Court on Thursday charged with manufacturing a prohibited drug.
The 37-year-old man pleaded guilty to the charge, with a fast-tracked plea.
Police prosecutor Sergeant Paul Burkinshaw told the court Stewart had acquired the materials to develop the specific drug.
Police detected 272 grams of DMT in a liquid used to make the drug.
The matter has been committed to the District Court for November 16.
A pre-sentence and psychological report will be prepared while the man’s bail has been extended in the same terms.
