Nine community groups have secured funding under the Busselton Water Community Partnership Program.
Over the next year, Busselton Aero Club’s Young Flyer’s Club, Busselton Bowling Club, Busselton Croquet Club, Busselton Toy Library, Busselton Volunteer Fire and Rescue, Cornerstone Christian College, Disabled Surfers Association South West, Southern Capes Motorcycle Club and Vasse Royals Football Club will share in $10,000 of funding.
Busselton Water chief executive Chris Elliot said the impressive applications made for a competitive field.
“We received a record 23 applications this year of the highest standard from integral services and groups that really make a difference to our community,” he said.
“Busselton Water is proud to support this year’s recipients.”
Toy Library president Brady Van Wyk thanked Busselton Water’s support, which would fund water-related play toys for the library.
“As a small not-for-profit group, we’re thrilled with Busselton Water’s support. The new toys will be a terrific addition to our toy collection and well used by families across the region,” Ms Van Wyk said.
