Fremantle ruckman Lloyd Meek has sent social media into a spin after the big man channeled his inner Michael Walters to kick the Dockers’ only goal in the first quarter of their clash with Brisbane.
Meek was running to the goalsquare to try to provide a contest after a long kick inside 50.
Unfortunately, the big man didn’t get there in time to have an impact on the aerial contest.
But it didn’t stop him from having an impact elsewhere, with Meek defying his 203cm, 110kg frame to pick the ball up from below his knees before snapping the Dockers’ first goal.
It is just Meek’s fifth game this season and 14th overall, with Dockers coach Justin Longmuir choosing to go with two ruckmen, with Sean Darcy also playing.
Meek has kicked three goals in his career now, with all of them coming at Optus Stadium.
Brisbane led by 13 points at quarter time.
