Will Brodie 7: Super start to the game with six first quarter clearances but was out-numbered as the game went on. Kicked a big third term goal to try and start something.
David Mundy 7: Part of a midfield that was badly beaten but at least was cleaner and surer than most teammates in the conditions and kicked a very good last term goal.
Sean Darcy 7: Strong performer in the ruck and around stoppages with 10 clearances but lacked support.
Jordan Clark 7: One of the few who tried to supply rebound. Struggles a bit when required to defend.
Hayden Young 7: Shaky early but found his feet and got better as the game went on. Very strong in the third term.
Luke Ryan 6: Part of a backline under siege but was surer than most of his teammates. Just unable to mount any counter attack.
Andrew Brayshaw 6: Tried hard all game but no escaping the fact that the Dockers got walloped around the contest and the bigger Collingwood bodies took a toll.
Caleb Serong 5: A bit like Brayshaw – Tried hard and cracked in but got out-muscled by the big Pies mids and was part of an engine room well beaten.
Heath Chapman 5: Very shaky early and took short options when long ones would have been safer. Got better.
Blake Acres 5: Running power has been diluted by the wet weather in the past fortnight and he has been unsure of himself.
James Aish 5: Unsure on his feet a few times and one of several Dockers who wanted to finesse too much in the conditions.
Michael Walters 5: Kicked a big goal early in the final term but found opportunities hard to come by.
Griffin Logue 5: Had his work cut out at the back but not the worst in a Dockers backline that is nowhere near as sure of itself in the wet.
Brennan Cox 4: Needs to get his head in the game adapt to conditions. One first term square up kick in the wet was reckless and coughed up a goal.
Alex Pearce 4: Gets a bit unsteady on his feet when the footing is not firm and got out manoeuvred by Brody Mihocek a couple of times for crucial goals.
Lachie Schultz 4: Is developing an unhealthy habit of going to ground too easily. Hard to win a loose ball and do anything with it from there.
Sam Switkowski 4: As clever as he is he needs loose balls to swoop on and the Pies and the conditions just didn’t give him any.
Bailey Banfield 3: Never lacks endeavour but doesn’t have the polish and finish to take a half chance. Part of a powerless attack.
Travis Colyer 3: Had one first half chance that should have been a score and fumbled repeatedly to lose the footy. Not a great day.
Michael Frederick 3: The wet didn’t offer him many chances to use his speed and without that there is a lot he needs to improve.
Rory Lobb 3: After an early goal this was the old Rory – Too many times when he didn’t compete and wanted to blame teammates further downfield for it.
Matt Taberner 2: Got thrashed by Darcy Moore. Had a poor first term turnover and then a mind boggling kick into the man on the mark in the third term.
Neil Erasmus: Unused as the medi sub
