The ex-partner of troubled former West Coast Eagles star Ben Cousins has been charged with drug driving offences.

Police allege Maylea Tinecheff tested positive to a roadside drug test on Ranford Road in Canning Vale last month.

She reportedly had her children in the car.

The results are back from the WA ChemCentre and Ms Tinecheff has been charged with no authority to drive and driving under the influence of a prescribed illicit drug.

She will face court on September 30.
