Former Socceroo Matthew Spiranovic trains with Perth Glory

Perth Glory look set to further boost their defensive stocks with former Socceroos defender Matthew Spiranovic training with the club in their first day back at work on Monday.

The centre-back was released by Zheijang Greentown earlier this year after the Chinese club filled their allotted foreigner quota.

The 29-year-old has been linked with a return to A-League with to Western Sydney Wanderers, who he left in 2015 for China, Sydney FC, Melbourne Victory and Melbourne City also keen on snaring his signature.

Spiranovic has 35 caps for the Socceroos but has not made an international appearance since Australia’s 2-0 loss to Japan last August.
