Firestone police seek thief who scammed $17,000 from blind man – The Denver Post

Firestone police are still looking for a man they say scammed a blind man out of more than $17,250 by not honoring a contract to work on the man’s home.

According to the warrant for his arrest, David Garcia in December 2016 signed a contract with Vernon Sorenson to build a bedroom and bathroom in Sorenson’s home. According to the contract, Sorenson would supply the materials, about $3,000 worth, and Garcia would provide the labor for the project, which would cost Sorenson about $17,000.
