Federal election 2022: Cost of residing, childcare, jobs, housing key issues for WA voters

Perth voters turned out in droves a week out from the Federal election, citing cost of living, childcare, jobs, and housing as their main concerns in the key WA seats that could decide the election.

In a straw poll conducted at several booths across Perth on the final Saturday before the election, Swan remained hotly contested between Liberals and Labor.

Exclusive polling published in The Sunday Times showed the Liberals were set to lose the seats of Swan and Pearce but not Hasluck and Tangney and their primary vote was still strong in all four seats giving the Coalition hope that not all was lost in the west.
