Fatal crash after car rolls in Yanchep

VideoA 25-year-old passenger has been killed in a car rollover in Yanchep.

A man has died after a car rollover north of Perth on Tuesday night.

The silver Mitsubishi Magna was being driven south along Two Rocks Road in Yanchep at 10.10pm when it rolled and hit a light pole near the roundabout at Capricorn Esplanade.

A 25-year-old passenger died at the scene while the driver and another passenger were taken to Royal Perth Hospital with minor injuries.

Anyone with information on the crash is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

In a separate crash, a Toyota Camry being pursued by police hit a Suzuki Swift in Padbury on Tuesday night.

The crash happened at corners of Hepburn and Gibson Avenues at 9.40pm.

No-one was seriously injured and the 33-year-old driver of the Camry has been charged with various traffic offences including reckless driving and failing to stop.

He will appear in the Joondalup Magistrate’s Court today.
