An experienced doctor has been charged with child sex abuse offences related to two girls.
WA Police allege the 60-year-old man, who works as a general practitioner in the South West district, committed the offences between November 2019 and March this year.
“(The) child abuse squad have charged a 60-year-old man with 19 offences of a sexual nature against children as a result of their ongoing investigation into his activities,” police said in a statement on Tuesday.
The charges do not relate to his work as a doctor, police told NCA NewsWire.

The offences were allegedly committed within the South West and Mandurah police districts.
He has been charged with 10 counts of sexually penetrating a child and six counts of indecently dealing with a child.
The man is also facing one count each of sexual penetration without consent, procuring a child to engage in sexual behaviour and possessing child exploitation material.
He is due to face Perth Magistrates Court later on Tuesday.
