Ex-teacher pleads guilty to abuse charges

A former PE teacher and Salvation Army youth pastor has admitted sexually abusing students at a Melbourne college.

Steven Mellody on Friday faced Melbourne Magistrates Court, where he pleaded guilty to more than 50 separate sex offences, including four counts of rape, against two young students at a strict Christian college in Wantirna South.

The 37-year-old is expected to face a plea hearing at the Victorian County Court on March 3.
