Employers lined up in droves to take part in this year’s Forest Personnel WorkABILITY Day.
The annual day is designed to facilitate job opportunities for people with health conditions, disabilities and injuries by mixing employers with potential employees.
Forrest Personnel chief executive Anna Bagshaw said she was delighted at the broad number of employers who took part in this year’s event. “Our aim is to promote access to employment for everyone,” Ms Bagshaw said.
“I’m passionate about it and so is our team.
“It’s exciting to bring everyone together to create these opportunities.”
Forrest Personnel employment consultant Nakita Fernandes said the day was an opportunity to allow job seekers to experience what it is like to be in a work environment.
“It is important because there are many candidates who haven’t worked for three, five, and even 10 years,” Ms Fernandes said.
“So we need to build their motivation and resumes and get them ready to be able to set themselves into these environments.”
Forrest Personnel is a not-for-profit specialist employment agency.
