Police are looking for the man who robbed an 82-year-old woman as she took an evening walk in Perth’s Victoria Park on Tuesday.
The woman attempted to fend off the man with her walking stick, however he managed to make off with her necklace.
At around 5pm, the woman was walking along the footpath on McMaster St heading towards Albany Highway when she was confronted by a man she described as about 19 years old.
Despite attempts to resist the crook using a walking stick, he managed to rip the necklace from her neck before running down McMaster St towards Albany Highway.
As well as appearing in his late teens, the man is described as having olive skin, a slim build, approximately 160cm tall, wearing a dark-coloured T-shirt and white cap.
Police are looking to talk to two cyclists who ran to assist the woman, as well as anyone else who was in the area at the time of the incident.
