The impact from a collision between two utes in Cottesloe in the early hours of Sunday morning tore a tray off one and caused the other to flip onto its roof.

The Hilux was travelling south on Curtin Avenue in Cottesloe about 4.19am when it collided which a white Nissan Navara driven north on the same road.

It’s understood the drivers narrowly missed a head-on collision, with the front-right of the Navara making contact with the right side of the Hilux.

Photos from the scene, just south of the Eric Street intersection, showed the Navara flipped on its roof and the two 4WDs several metres apart.
