Jockeys Lisa Staples and Taj Dyson each collected two wins at Kalgoorlie-Boulder Racing Club’s Anzac Day meeting on Monday.
Staples kicked home the Josh Brown-trained Spinalong Time ($7.50 start price) in the first race on the card, the $17,000 Masters Football Club Maiden (1100m), then followed up with victory aboard Peter Fernie-trained First Moment ($7) in race three, the $20,000 T & K Partridge Mining and Mechanical Handicap (1200m).
Dyson’s victories came in races four and five — aboard Magniforce ($14), trained by Trevor Tasker, in the $20,000 Fat Buddah Thai Handicap (1200m); and Pedal Power ($4), trained by Justin Robins, in the $20,000 Thompson and Redwood Handicap (1400m).
Trainer Rickie Brown collected the win in race two, the $17,000 XXXX Maiden (1300m), with hoop Kayla Cross aboard Vinyl ($21), while Helen Harding picked up another win at Kalgoorlie in race seven, the $20,000 Mister Signs Handicap (1602m), with Sassational ($8.50), who had jockey Kyra Yuill on board.
Trainer Gary Bowen and jockey Natasha Faithfull combined to achieve the win with Roseicapilla ($15) in race six, the $20,000 For The Anzacs Handicap (1300m).
