Distinctively delightful | The West Australian

This North Beach residence has a distinctive curved facade and spiral staircase that makes it stand out among the other houses in the area.

Speaking to West Real Estate, homeowners Sasha Ioppolo and her husband Jason said the home was influenced by mid-century and industrial architecture and had a keen focus on lifestyle.

Sprawled across 500sqm and split over three levels, it sits on a large corner lot and was completed three years ago.

Layered in rich and inviting textures, the impressive home features a reverse living floor plan and comprises three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

“The home embraces the surrounding landscape and looks out to the Indian Ocean,” Mrs Ioppolo said. “We love how the team at Chindarsi Architects made our vision stand out.”

Designed for easy living and full of savvy design details, the ground floor contains a spacious open-plan living area, a primary bathroom and two secondary bedrooms.

A feature concrete staircase leads the way upstairs, where the home’s main living areas reside alongside the large and comfortable master bedroom.

Boasting breathtaking views from various angles, Mr and Mrs Ioppolo said the open-plan kitchen, living and dining area was one of their favourite areas of the home.

Aside from offering spectacular ocean vistas, the home contains a number of architectural details bound to appeal to any design enthusiast.

With three separate outdoor entertaining areas located over the three levels, there is no denying it was designed to suit people who enjoy being outdoors.

“We love how the home connects to the outdoors,” Mrs Ioppolo said. “All of the outdoor areas are connected by an external spiral staircase that was custom-designed.”

On the ground level is a concrete pool, a garden and a large patio complete with an outdoor kitchen.

“We decided to include a relaxing outdoor lounge area with a high bar table on the middle level,” Mrs Ioppolo said.

“It’s a great spot to enjoy drinks and nibbles whilst taking in the view.”

The third outdoor space is located on the rooftop and delivers unparalleled views to the coast, surrounding bushland and even glimpses of the city.

Mr and Mrs Ioppolo said they loved living in the seaside suburb of North Beach.

“The area is buzzing with activity and everyone is relaxed and friendly,” Mrs Ioppolo said. “It really is the best place to live – we won’t be moving far away.”
