A man was shot and killed Tuesday in downtown Denver about four blocks from Coors Field, and the police department is asking for the public’s assistance in solving the crime.
Police were called to scene around 10:40 p.m. Tuesday after someone reported that a man was down near 21st and Arapahoe streets, according to a news release from the Denver Police Department. It appears the man had been shot, the news release said. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.
The victim has not been identified.

The death is Denver’s ninth homicide this month, and the third this week.
On Sunday, two men were shot and killed during an argument outside a business near the intersection of Leetsdale Drive and Monaco Parkway. Urocca Guyton, 31, and Kendrick Shaw, 26, died from gunshots wounds, the Denver coroner’s office said.
There were 56 homicides reported in the city in 2017.
