Democrats ‘failing to go bold’ could pave way for Trump’s return in 2024

The Democrats losing the Virginia gubernatorial election was frankly a “devastating result” for the Party, says Data For Progress Senior Adviser Aidan Smith.

“Even negative harbinger potentially if things to come, should the Biden administration not get back on track,” Mr Smith told Sky News Australia.

Mr Smith said the Biden administration “failing to go bold” with its policies contributed at some level to the “disaster” in Virginia.

“I think that we should see it as a wake-up call for the administration to go bold going further in order to implement transformational policy.

“Because not doing so could pave the way for Trump’s return in 2024.”
