Could Jarrod Brander’s AFL career be resurrected by GWS?
The Giants have become the third AFL club to express interest in the delisted 22-year-old, following earlier conversations with Carlton and Geelong.
Brander was officially dumped by West Coast on Monday, after just 22 games in four seasons.
After the Eagles failed to secure a trade for Brander earlier this month, GWS has emerged as a possible suitor for the former pick 13.
FoxFooty has confirmed the Giants expressed interest in Brander ahead of next month’s rookie draft.

SEN’s Sam Edmund said he believed Brander would find a new home for season 2022.
“There has been some interest in Jarrod Brander, the 13th pick in the 2017 draft who just couldn’t settle at West Coast in that best 22 or best 23,” he said.
“There’s been some calls about him.
“I think, speaking to people today, he will find a new club for next year.”
Footy commentator Kane Cornes believes Brander would be a perfect fit for Adelaide, given big man Tom Lynch has retired.
“The best player out of the delisted market is Jarrod Brander from the Eagles,” Cornes said.
“He’s 22, he’s a first-round draft pick, he’s got versatility… and you can get him for nothing.
“On a one-year contract worth $100,000 plus match payments, if you can convince him to come to Adelaide, he’s in Adelaide’s best 22 right now.”
Despite being West Coast’s only first round pick in five years, Brander failed to impress in his time at the club.
Cornes believes Brander fell victim to his own versatility, and a coach who “doesn’t know where to play him”.
The AFL’s Rookie Draft will take place on Friday, November 26 — just one day after the AFL’s National Draft ends.
Clubs then need to lodge their final lists by Monday, November 29.
