A dead whale has been found washed up on Trigalow beach east of Bremer Bay.

While no shark alert has been issued, the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development warned that whale carcasses are known to be an attractant to sharks.

Anyone who sights a shark, or sees a whale carcass, is asked to report it to Water Police on 9442 8600.

People are urged to use the area with caution.
