Darren Lehmann is set to make his return to coaching for the first time since emotionally quitting as Australian coach in the wake of the Cape Town ball-tampering scandal.
According to a report in The Daily Telegraph, Lehmann has got the top job at Big Bash League outfit Brisbane Heat, edging out Queensland coach Wade Seccombe.
The 49-year-old takes over from former New Zealand international Dan Vettori, who quit his post at the end of BBL08.
Lehmann spent the summer in the media with commentary roles for Fox Cricket and Macquarie Sports Radio.
It will be the second time the former Australian batsman has coached the Heat.
He led the Brisbane franchise to a BBL title in 2012-13, causing an upset in the final against the Perth Scorchers at the WACA Ground.
More to come.
