COVID funding relief for Bunbury groups

Several community organisations can breathe a sigh of relief thanks to a new allocation of Lotterywest COVID-19 relief funding.

Bunbury MLA Don Punch presented Advocacy WA, Dolphin Discovery Centre and Doors Wide Open with the grants on Friday.

For many people the period of the COVID-19 emergency has been characterised by isolation, fear and uncertainty … the value of our community sector to support people who may not have their own networks to rely on is undeniable.

The Dolphin Discovery Centre was awarded $150,917 to help it address the financial impacts of COVID-19.

Advocacy WA and Doors Wide Open received $70,280 and $26,824 respectively to help them continue with the vital services they provide.
