FORT COLLINS — The Rams have never been so happy to be back in the Fort.
Colorado State’s recent three-game road trip saw them lose all three games by an average of 19 points. Worse yet, the Rams’ travel itinerary was brutal.
“It was long. Very long, very tiring,” CSU junior guard J.D. Paige said. “Eating airport food, then just traveling. Everybody was exhausted. But you know, we’re back now. It feels good to be back.”
After a last Tuesday’s home win over to Winthrop, the Rams left Fort Collins in the middle of the night for Montego Bay, Jamaica. But first, they had to go through Kansas City and then Fort Lauderdale in order to get to the Caribbean island for games against Tulane and Florida State.
