Rangers in the City of Perth have turned to wearing body cameras as an added safety measure.
Occasionally the local law enforcers have to deal with unpleasant situations and rely on their body cameras as well as the 300-plus CCTV cameras dotted across city.
Vision shown to 7News Perth offered an insight into some of the incidents they have to deal with — unarmed.
Unsavoury behaviour ranges from verbal slurs to physical altercations.
While not common, rangers do cop abuse and it occasionally escalates into more.
Perth rangers have also recently undergone bicycle training with WA Police to better service the city.
