City of Greater Geraldton facilities closed for Christmas

A number of City of Greater Geraldton facilities will be closed or operating at reduced hours during the Christmas and New Year break.

Queens Park Theatre and the Geraldton Multipurpose Centre will be closed from December 22 and normal operating hours will resume Wednesday, January 2.

The QEII Seniors and Community Centre will also close December 22, re-opening on Monday, January 7.

The Civic Centre will be closed from Monday until Wednesday, January 2.

The Geraldton Regional Library and Mullewa’s swimming pool will be open except on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day.

Geraldton Visitor Centre and the Aquarena will be open with reduced hours every day except Christmas Day.

The Geraldton Regional Art Gallery will only be open from 10am to 4pm on December 22, 27, 28 and 29.

The Meru Landfill will operate at its normal hours – 7.30am to 4.30pm – but will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

Unless stated otherwise, normal operating hours will resume on January 2.

A City spokesperson said after hours and emergency calls will be monitored through the City’s call centre.
