Santa will be making one of his first appearances of the holiday season at an evening of Christmas entertainment at Loopline Park on Friday.
Hosted by the Boulder Promotions and Development Association, the event will start at 6pm with free face painting, bouncy castles and other activities for children before the man in red arrives at about 7pm.
Visitors can also watch the official lighting of the Boulder Christmas tree and sing along to their favourite carols with the local Two Up Two Down Community Choir.
BPDA co-ordinator Corinne Rule said people of all ages were welcome.
“I think Christmas is a time to bring families together and this really is a community event for all the locals,” she said.
“People can come and sing old carols, learn some new ones and just have a lot of fun.”
Boulder Primary School will host a fundraising sausage sizzle on the night and free ice-creams will be available for the children but visitors are also encouraged to bring their own picnic.
Candles and glow sticks will be supplied.
The program of events will finish by 9pm.
