Two children today pleaded guilty over a school break-in in Geraldton which led to a damage bill in the tens of thousands of dollars.

During the burglary at John Willcock College in June, the boy, 13, and girl, 14, allegedly stole kitchen knives, balloons and cool drink – and damaged property including several computers, windows and doors.

The boy was also charged in relation to a fire which damaged books, files and carpet.

The police prosecutor told Geraldton Children’s Court about $53,000 worth of damage was caused.

Magistrate Donna Webb requested a written and psychological report for both youths.

They will reappear before the Children’s Court in December.
