Cafe Mojo Mundaring is perky, quirky and a finalist in 2019 Telstra WA Business Awards.

A Mundaring cafe which prides itself on being more than a destination for good food and coffee is one of more than two dozen businesses which have made the final of the 2019 Telstra WA Business Awards.

Cafe Mojo Mundaring owners Jo and Ronald Colijn-Dew set out to create a hospitality business that was a community hub.

Their efforts at building a “free co-working space for people to meet, share information, run events and showcase skills and products” has been recognised by Telstra.

“We are a little cafe with a big impact, well-known and respected by locals for our progressive and all-welcoming attitude,” Mrs Colijn-Dew, pictured, said.

The husband-and-wife team will find out on October 10 whether they will be invited to Melbourne for the national series.

The awards culminate with judging and a dinner on November 21.

Telstra group executive, consumer and small business, Michael Ackland, noted that three-quarters of last year’s State finalists reaped dividends from the annual program.
