An NFL defense posting a shutout is a rare feat. In 57 years of professional football in Denver, the Broncos have done it only 17 times — including Sunday’s 23-0 victory over the New York Jets. This is marks the first time since 1992 the Broncos have been shut out by (21-0 loss at the Chargers on Oct. 22) and shut out an opponent in the same season.
In that 1992 season, the Broncos shut out the Cleveland Browns 12-0 and lost 24-0 to the Los Angeles Raiders.
