A delegation from Bunbury’s Vietnam Friendship City visited last week.

Nine delegates from Nha Trang spent two days in Bunbury.

Led by the People’s Committee of Nha Trang City chairman Le Huru Tho, the group took part in presentations on topics such as Smart Cities and urban planning by City of Bunbury officers.

The group also toured Bunbury Port, Dolphin Discovery Centre and Bunbury Wildlife Park.

Mayor Gary Brennan said the inaugural visit was an important step in furthering the relationship between the two cities.

“On 26 October 2016 the City of Bunbury and Nha Trang signed a Memorandum of Understanding to become Friendship Cities,” Mr Brennan said.

“This friendship is founded on the basis of education, culture, trade, tourism and sport exchange and holds the potential for exciting new collaborations.”
