With six bedrooms, three bathrooms, two kitchens and unmistakable country charm in suburbia, there is a lot to love about this Treeby home.
Built by Benlin Homes, the residence is known as Banjup to current owner Renae and has grown alongside her family.
“The peace and tranquility of the natural bushland has given us all an environment of natural beauty,” she said.
Over the years, Renae’s family has taken full advantage of the massive two-hectare block, including the gigantic 12m by 7m swimming pool.
“Whether it’s the large grassed areas for soccer games, the outdoor pool area for summer fun or the bush to ride motorbikes,” she said.
“The shed can be used for business purposes, or in my case, teenage parties.”
The powered shed features a bathroom and a bar area, and the property also benefits from two 160,000L rainwater tanks.
While the verandah and high course ceilings give the residence a historic, stately character, it is fitted with all the comforts of modern living.
“Some of my favourites include the stained glass entrance doors, the white wooden shutters throughout, the falcon oven and stovetop, the jarrah floorboards and the second kitchen for dinner parties,” Renae said.
“But most of all I love that it brings the family together, but also gives everyone their own sense of space.”
With a familial love of cooking, the primary kitchen served as the hub of the home, while Renae referred to the master suite as her private sanctuary with stunning bushland vistas.
“The room in situated away from all the other bedrooms in the house for privacy,” she said.
“At the end of the day, my favourite time is retiring to my room for a beautiful, relaxing spa bath.”
Suited to those longing for a country life within the city limits, Renae said the home held many special memories for herself and her four children, including her grandmother’s 95th birthday and her first grandson’s christening.
“My favourite spot is sitting on the front verandah in the early morning as the sun comes up with my coffee, listening and watching the birds and the odd bandicoot,” she said.
“I also love driving down the driveway in early summer when the jacarandahs are in full blossom.”
Just half-an-hour from the city, Treeby is a cosy, family-friendly suburb with good schools and a welcoming community.
According to Bellcourt Property Group Property Consultant Tini Mincher, once in a while a truly special property came along and every single person fell in love with it as soon as they walked through the door.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for another family to create a beautiful life here,” she said.
