When news broke Monday of the Broncos finding their quarterback in Case Keenum — who intends to sign with Denver when free agency opens — oddsmakers felt that gave the team a boost in its chances of winning next year’s Super Bowl.
After Super Bowl LII in February, Denver was tied for 17th among NFL teams — with the Los Angeles Chargers — at 33-to-1 odds, according to Bovada.lv. Fast forward to Tuesday and the team climbed to the No. 14 position and its odds improved to 25-to-1.
The New England Patriots, which started off as the favorites at 6-to-1, improved to 5-to-1 odds. The defending Super Bowl champions Philadelphia Eagles slipped slightly from 13-to-2 down to 17-to-2 odds.
