A man has been charged after he allegedly threatened a pharmacy worker with a broken bottle during an armed robbery in Subiaco last night.

Police will allege the man went into the pharmacy on Rokeby Road about 6.30pm, threatened the staff member with a broken bottle and made demands before he was given an amount of medication.

Police say he also walked behind the counter and stole cash from the till.

He fled the store on foot but was arrested by police shortly after.

Regional Investigations Unit officers charged a 43-year-old City Beach man with armed robbery, who is due to appear in Perth Magistrates Court today.
